Sexy Cat Suit inspired outfit- Look of the day

A cat suit is a very sexy outfit and is a favorite of Jennifer Lopez to wear in her concerts.
Typical cat suit design is a one-piece suit that is skin tight  and belted at the hips.....I would love to wear a  cat suit if only I have the figure to carry it and the right occasion to wear them to...

But I can't wait for those conditions to happen so I have my own version of a cat suit style inspired outfit ...one that is forgiving of my mommy tummy and ok to wear to just a casual event or just malling for that matter.

Here's my cat suit inspired look.....

Having two separate pieces (instead of a one piece suit) is less restricting. The shirt is not too tight, that it can be ruched  around the hips to conceals those bumps- which I call  mommy tummy. After giving birth to 5 kids, I just can't get rid of the extra sagging skin on my belly.

The pants is a jersey pants which used to be Flared bottom. I altered it into pencil cut.   (please excuse the mess at the back...I just don't have the software to edit it out.).

The Hobo jacket relaxes the look.

The loose jacket compliments the tight outfit.

Human Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil -product review

When I was a teenager I was not one of the the lucky individuals to have inherited the smooth skin genes. I had acne which resulted to scars and humongous pores. My large pores had always been the source of my insecurities and because of this I have collected tons of make up concealers, foundations, powders in the quest to find the perfect cover up, however, I have never found one that really covers without making me look like a clown. And the more I put layers upon layers of make-up, the more my skin breaks into pimples. And when I reached 40, pigmentation adds to my skin problem.
I have tried several beauty brands for pore refiner, moisturizers, and whitening creams but still nothing have given me the result that I dreamed of...until one day.

I was doing my grocery shopping and as I was browsing  the rows of toners, oils and moisturizers...I unconsciously took this bottle of sunflower oil.
I don't know what draw me to check this bottle since it didn't have those fancy packaging, nor was it placed in eye level view shelf.
As I read the backside of the label, I was intrigued by the description which says: "Do you believe miracles in a bottle? Experience miracles as our gold Elixir works its magic. Helps lighten dark under eye circles, dark spots and pimple marks, minimize stretch marks, lighten underarms, adds shine to dull hair, moisturize the face and body and more! No wonder sunflowers are known as ' Happy Flowers' for the joy they bring."
This product had me at the first line of its description...I thought only a miracle can smoothen my face. Although I took it with a grain of salt, so I bought the smallest package just to try it.
It cost around 129 pesos for 50 ml. It is Philippine made  under the brand name Human Nature, no harmful chemicals, no Parabens and other preservatives- they do not test on animals. Ain't that wonderful?...worth supporting, but does it really work?

On my very first use, I felt right away the difference when I rubbed it on my face. Because it is pure sunflower oil, it felt smoother when applied unlike a regular moisturize where you can feel the texture. The next morning I felt that my pores were not as open as before.
After a week of use, my aunt noticed something different on my skin- she said it looked supple and healthy and younger. By then I don't wear any foundation, concealer nor powder anymore.
Now after a month use, I am excited to share with you this miracle...it is truly a miracle in a bottle.

I just put a small drop on my palm and rub my two palms together to generate heat before I rub on my face. I massage my face using upward motion to give it a lift.
I don't use any other moisturizer with this anymore...but when I need to go out and be under the sun, then I use one with a sunblock,

And now my next quest is for something that can naturally turn my gray hair back to black (without dyeing)...if there is anyone who have a tip for me, I'd be very glad to try.

Sexy Hand sewn dress project 2- concise photo

Sexy Hand-sewn dress project 2

Welcome to Veronica's Style
In this day and age, multiple-style-in-one dress is catching the fashionista's attention very fast due to the fact that prices are soaring while salary increases are stalling.
A multi-style-in one dress allows one to be frugal without compromising style.

Thought of the day
Here's my multi-style-in-one dress

It would be even more cost saving if one would sew one's clothes...as for me since I don't have a sewing machine I did hand sewing....

Pretty simple to make

Took me just less than 2 hours to finish from measurements to cutting to stitching..with few breaks.
 .
How to wear them:
First as a sun-dress, loose and  flirty. Ideal for going out to the beach. With the bathing suit underneath you can simply slip out of it when about to take a plunge in the water.
Here's some options on the shoulder and décolletage without the belt
Now here are the options when worn with the belt...a different belt can be used if desired.
This set is worn with no ribbons at the shoulder.

Adding a ribbon on the shoulder adds a little variation to the look.

Look of the day - Pretty Alter fashion

My outfit today is also an Alter Fashion -an altered tank top and shawl ensemble.
There are some clothes that when you buy it, it looks nice in the fitting cubicle.. but when you get home, you'll say "what was I thinking?" because it could either be uncomfortable to wear or the fit is actually bad  or the design is actually ugly or whatever.  I think it does happen to most if not all of us..in fact some of those clothes would never see the light again after it's bought. But for me, I at least wear it once or twice just to get rid of the guilt and then alter it.
This clothes in it's original design was only worn once until I altered it (which was worn several times already)...so here it is my outfit today.

and of course the bolero is also an accessory perfect for concealing those thunder arms.

And now the clothes in its original shape/design and the change.
The boobs are the same...I just realized the arrow is pointing there...hahaha.

Look of the day -how to wear a scarf

Hello Friends, welcome back to my channel...I was not able to post yesterday as our INTERNET connection was down..so this was yesterday's outfit or look of the day.
Weather is getting crazy these days...it rains and then stops and it's scorching hot and heavy rain again...really, confuses me what to wear.
Speaking of getting confused of what to wear? Do you have those days when you just open your closet and with that sea of clothes you utterly don't know what to wear or sometime I'd say, "I have nothing to wear"..funny, right? That's the irony of having too much choices that sometimes we end up with nothing....That's why in this blog I am not flooding you with too much choices but just a few options of how to wear a stole/scarf...here's 12 ways.

But first my look of the day...

I am sorry but I don't have names for these knots...I just experimented as I went along with the photo session.

Look of the day- Cute Empire dress

Empire waist dress or Empire cut dress or Empire dress is a type of dress or maybe a blouse where  the waistline is raised above the natural waistline or sometimes higher somewhere below the bust line. This design is supposed to camouflage a bottom heavy figure or a thick waist- it covers the extra curves (in unwanted places) of the body....
However, not all Empires are created equal...instead it could reveal the undulation that we thought are discretely hidden. Just like what I have here...
I was once strutting in this dress in one of the malls in Malaysia...well I thought I was looking sexy in this dress when I last saw myself in the mirror before I left the house...but after having lamb chops and cheese cake at the Secret Recipe, I felt "weirded" and a bit annoyed by those ladies who kept on shoving to my face their brochures every time I pass by their stall that sells those "MAGIC GIRDLES"...I thought it was odd....but I did realize soon after when I went to an intimate apparel shop and the saleslady tried to offer me stuffs for pregnant women....WHAT!...and so this dress went straight to storage and stayed there until....Now I have the solution.
The solution: Wide belts in darker color/shade- we all know that a belt puts the curves in the right place and hides the extra bulge. The darker color creates and illusion of slimmer waist. It has to be a wide belt to cover from the empire cut line to the natural waist line..also it makes the torso look longer.

I have only two wide belts in my closet so here's how they look...
I would wear with this belt on a more formal occasion or to a party or dinner date, put on some heels and hoop earing...

with this belt it is more on a casual tone....

For today I choose this look.
Just right for going around town in a sun shiny day
with simple necklace.
with guitar or probably it's a ukelele designed  connector ring
with flip flops and an anklet.
